Rafting on the Ottawa River
To the northwest of the capital of Canada flows the Ottawa River Powerful through the landscape of the Canadian Shield. This is a historic route that was used centuries ago by First Nations communities, navigated by fur traders since the 17th century, and played an important role for the forestry industry around the turn of the century. Today, you come here for an unforgettable whitewater adventure. A full-day rafting trip through the impressive Rocher Fendu Rapids awaits you.
Accompanied by experienced and enthusiastic guides, you will brave one of the most beautiful whitewater routes in the world. This wide, dynamic river combines adrenaline and thrills with soothing nature and a rich history. The result is an adventure that is both impressive and unforgettable.
Whether you choose a spectacular trip full of action and challenging rapids or prefer a quieter river experience through the wilderness, at OWL Rafting you can choose from rafting trips with a low, medium, or high intensity. The tours are offered daily from mid-May through September.
Unique in the world of whitewater rafting is that every OWL experience combines a full day on the river with a relaxed return trip to the resort aboard a pontoon boat. While enjoying a freshly grilled meal, you can look back on a day full of adventure. A perfect conclusion to a special experience in one of Canada's most beautiful whitewater areas.
The 25-hectare resort The lakeside location forms the heart of all activities and offers the ideal setting to complete your day on the river. You can stay overnight in comfortable cabanas with lake views, rustic wooden cabins, or at the waterside campsite. Hooks are also available for motorhomes and RVs.
The meals are hearty, flavorful, and awarded the FEAST ON culinary tourism label. Every rafting trip includes a freshly grilled lunch served during the return trip by pontoon boat. Breakfast and dinner are also included in overnight packages.
The characteristic Pavilion, with its wooden beam construction, serves as the central meeting point for safety briefings and the video presentation of your rafting trip. Here, you can also enjoy delicious homemade meals outdoors. A weekend stay also includes cozy evening entertainment around the campfire.
Along the waterfront, you will find a sandy beach where you can make free use of kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and stand-up paddleboards. Additionally, the resort features a children's playground on the beach, a natural labyrinth through the tall grass, a bicycle pump track, and a disc golf course. Fishing from the jetty is also a popular activity for young and old.
